Hi Peter Prinsen and welcome to the Community!

Did you download a file from that website? Also, is there any registration process before you can totally access their site? If possible, can you post here the exact link so that we could check? Kindly provide us too if there is a program that you recently installed before you noticed those changes on your computer.

By the way, if you are sure that the emails you are getting are spam, kindly just unsubscribe from them. You may also refer to the link below for using the Antispam Toolbar.

Using the Antispam Toolbar of your Trend Micro Security

We'll wait for your response.

I fear I did download something and installed it to convert the videos, the guys I worked for recommended it and since they are a big player in audiovisual territory (GRID in Belgium) I trusted there advice... I also worked in admin modus what can make things worse... I actually deleted anything that referred to that malware  in  google chrome and programs but it could be hidden somewhere else. I'm working on a huge workstation with many terrabite of  raid solid state and other disks so it could be hard to find it! Didn't know that unsubscribing could help I thought it makes things worse, wasn't aware of the antispam toolbar... I never download emails, they stay on the Telenet webserver to be accessed anywhere. But it seems the browser is hacked because i get spam for anything I looked for on the net... From stairlifts to guitars etc.  I hope it isn't google itself ! I will have a look in my history to find the exact link. Trends is actually blocking any website  (dangerous website) proposed by the popup window  (kind of Facebook-like messenges in the lower right corner of my screen.
Thank you so far!
Peter

Hi Peter- I can't fix the issues you are having but i can recommend this video converter freeware that I have had for over a month with no issues.https://www.ezvid.com/ezvid_for_windows works great but it is tricky to match up the sound sometimes. Good Luck-Richard J.

Could find in my history because I deleted it somewhere in december and reinstalled google chrome trying to solve the problem, going back to my mails concerning that client I can see I got the link on october 27.
But i still can find the deleted downloads. In fact online video converter is an online service that converts the links you put in Like Youtube for instance and gives you a converted mp3 or vid of that file to download, it actually works but I fear it does more than just giving you an mp3... Here's a typical link from one of these downloaded files: http://s7.onlinevideoconverter.com/download?file=j9i8j9d3h7a0a0c2
cheers

Hi Peter Prinsen,

I have checked the link you just provided and it's a legitimate one. You can use the link below to check if the website link is safe or not.

Global Site Safety

Have you tried running a scan using the Trend Micro program installed on your computer? Can you also elaborate the changes you noticed on your computer? Regarding the spam emails you are receiving, Trend Micro program has no control over it if you are not using the Antispam toolbar. But in case, you click on a link attached, Web Threat Protection feature will handle it. However, it's a best practice not to click on anything attached if the email is a spam.

Hope this helps!
