Important Information for Trend Micro Solutions and Microsoft January 2018 Security Updates

Regarding Windows 10 KB4056892 requirement from AV software --


We advise you to manually add the registry key required to receive the January Microsoft patches as quickly as possible in conjunction with Trend Micro security software deployment.

Just a question:
can I suggest this step to all friends (using several kind of AV) or it is a Trend Micro specific register key?

It is not Trend Micro specific so, yes so can suggest it to your friends :)

My Windows Update went through just fine  and I did NOT do the registry change.  Maybe they updated the update so it works without manually doing the reg fix.
