eM Client unable to synchronize with Outlook.com

eM Client stopped receiving emails. I suspect this may be due to a eM Client version upgrade. Their support for version 8 says, "This is most commonly caused by external apps like Antivirus, Firewalls, VPNs, etc.. 
Are others reporting this issue? Any idea how to fix it?

It would be helpful if you could describe and illustrate the problem you are experiencing. To further check this, may we ask for the following information below? 

1. Operating System of your computer
2. Exact Version of your Trend Micro program
3. Screenshots of the error message if possible
