Web guard turns off continuously (message appears as notification) and so pay guard and fraud buster (without notifying)

I have to (re)enable the accessibility permission continuously because the Web guard turns off continuously (message appears as notification) and so pay guard and fraud buster (those without notification).

Really bothersome.

Hi, nico71it!

Welcome to Trend Micro Home Users Community.

It's possible that your device uses Power Saving Mode to save battery, which stops the running apps. Please try to exclude Trend Micro from the power-saving settings.

For more information, you may refer to this link below:

Hi Cathy,

on my device both the "Battery saver" and "Ultra battery saver" are disabled.

BTW I've changed to "No restriction" the battery saving setting for "Mobile Security".

I will let you know.

Hi nico71it,

Thank you for your response, may I know if your Trend Micro mobile security permissions has been enabled? For instructions on how to check it, you may refer to the link below.

Things to fix after running a scan (Mobile Security for Android)

Also, check if you have any other VPN application that is installed in your device as this could cause conflict with the Trend Micro web guard feature.

Let us know how it goes.

Hi Angelo,

both in "Security", "Privacy" and "Insight" I got the message "Good news, you have no concerns to fix".

Please consider that under "Security" I had the Web Guard turned off, so I turned back on again.

Moreover I haven't any VPN application.

Thank you for your response, nico71it.

Can you try to add Trend Micro Mobile Security to apps that Autostart/Autolaunch? Here's how:

1. Open the Security menu on your Xiaomi device.

2. Tap Permissions.

3. Tap Autostart.

4. Swipe to enable Autostart for Trend Micro Mobile Security.

Hope this helps.

Hi Kim,

on my smartphone the "Security" app doesn't show directly the "Permission" feature. It's located within the "Manage Apps" feature. Btw I set up the autostart for the "Mobile Security".

Enabling the autostart may require additional RAM and battery resources.

Is this setting really needed, considering that the Mobile Security was correctly loaded during the boot? Indeed the Mobile Security icon was always shown in the status bar.

Regards, Nico

Hi all,

it's really bothersome, I've got again the msg "Web guard turned off".

Does it make sense to keep on the autostart for Mobile Security?

I'll wait for your response.
