Can't select Accessibility for Trend Micro's functions.

Hi there,

My phone is blocking me from activating Accessibility for Trend Micro.

It tells me that the Permission Interface Request has been blocked, Settings can't verify your responses. Turn off Assistive Ball or other functions that might cause this issue.

Since Assistive Ball is turned off. What else can block Accessibility?

Hopefully someone knows how to fix this issue?

Thanks.

Hi @czethros

To fix the issue, kindly go to Phone Settings and on the search bar, look for Floating Windows and disable some other applications that could be blocking Trend Micro from Activating Accessibility Permissions.

Hope this helps.

@tm_chris

This is on an Android phone.

There is no Floating Windows in Settings.

Please advise on what other options I can do on my phone instead?

Thanks.

Hi @czethros !

There could be a few different reasons why your phone is blocking you from activating accessibility for Trend Micro. Here are a few things you can try to fix the issue:

  1. Check for other accessibility services: Some Android phones may have multiple accessibility services running at the same time, which can sometimes conflict with each other. To check if this is the case, go to your phone's Settings > Accessibility and see if there are any other accessibility services enabled. If so, try disabling them and see if that resolves the issue.

  2. Check for other apps that may be causing the issue: Sometimes, other apps on your phone can interfere with accessibility services. Try uninstalling any recently installed apps and see if that resolves the issue.

  3. Clear the cache and data for the Settings app: Clearing the cache and data for the Settings app can sometimes resolve issues related to permissions and accessibility. To do this, go to your phone's Settings > Apps & notifications > See all apps > Settings > Storage & cache > Clear cache and Clear storage.

  4. Check for software updates: Make sure that your phone's software is up to date. Sometimes, software updates can include fixes for issues related to permissions and accessibility.

Hope this helps!

Thanks!
