Legacy system extensions
Apple says existing software on my system loaded a system extension signed by Trend Micro which will be incompatible with a future version of macOS. They suggest I contact you for support.
In 2019, Apple said it informed developers that macOS Catalina will be the last macOS to fully support legacy system extensions, and have been working with developers to transition their software. By moving beyond these extensions, developers are helping to further modernize the Mac, improve its security and reliability, and enable more user-friendly software distribution methods. A final transition date has not yet been set.
How does Trend Micro stand on this?

Hi, brad!
Welcome to Trend Micro Home Users Community.
The "Legacy System Extension" notification appears to MacOS version 10.15.4. Trend Micro will release a version of Antivirus for Mac that is compatible with the next version of macOS before it is released to ensure that you have continuous protection for your Mac. You may check the statement of Trend Micro in the link below to know more about it.

I have had the exact same problem.
The response I received when I raised a "ticket" with the tech team was;
1. Guided me to the update button on my home screen of Trend Micro (which I do everyday anyway, so that was a pointless task); and that
2. They would have a full solution by "Fall 2020", as an Australian I have no idea when that is, I'm guessing September to December 2020...
Which I think is ridiculous, that a massive behemoth like Trend Micro can't keep up-to-date with Apple OS updates. Which is infuriating as now I have other programs I need to download the legacy versions of other programs all because of Trend Micro.
