Client 11.0.1976 causing kernel panic unable to shutdown MacBook Air after upgrade to BigSur
Having recently upgraded to OS Big Sur and updated Tren Micro automatically, I discovered a problem shutting down my laptop.
On each replicable shutdown I would follow the normal shutdown procedure and after a lenthy period of a slow spinning segmented circle the screen would blank and I got the Apple " your computer restarted because of a problem ".
After trial and error deleting Apps etc. the problem ceased when I shutdown Trend Micro before Shuttingdown the computer. The following restart was normal too.
Restart automatically loads Trend Micro and on the next shutdown (withoiut shutting down Trens Micro) the kernel panic was present again.
Am I the only person with this issue ? and is there a know diagnostic and/or fix ?
Thanks in advance

Hi johnlane65,
Welcome to Trend Micro Home Users Community!
This is not the usual behavior of the Trend Micro program. Please check if you have the latest version of the program which is version 11. Here's how to check the program version.
If you happen to have an older version you can click here for the Trend Micro Antivirus for Mac installer.
Awaiting for your response.
