Unable to complete update

My sister 's PC operating system is Windows XP. Installation is successful but update takes hours without completion. I have followed troubleshooting guideline ie 1)disconnect internet, Run supporttool.exe, 2)under Uninstall, stop all components, 3)after a minute, option 2 delete last update and option 3 delete proxy, 4)restart. However after restart, when internet auto connect, it shows Start Protection then Install update but keep running without end. This is unacceptable and ridiculous! Any fix?

Usually this occurs when an operating system is no longer supported. A product's End of Support marks the date when a product stops downloading updates. After 12 years, support for Windows XP ended April 8, 2014. Microsoft will no longer provide security updates or technical support for the Windows XP operating system. Trend Micro's software can only run smoothly on a modern operating system such as Windows 10.  


It might be best for you to contact your local PC store to ask if they can update the operating system for you. Once you have updated your operating system, you may install Trend Micro by following the link below:
