home network flashing red fast

Woke up to an alert on my iPhone that my Trend Home Network box went offline at 11:10EST on 9/2. I have tried different ports, did a hard reset on the Trend Box and reset my router. Rebooted cable modem, tried several cables and even a different router and still flashing red fast. The network connection has a solid Green and flashing amber light, same speed as the red light.

Thank you for your response, larry withrow.

Please try to connect the Home Network Security to a different Lan port on your router. Then, do a power cycle.

  • Power cycle: Turn off the router and unplug it from the outlet. Wait for at least 30 seconds before plugging it back in, then turn it on.

Monitor for at least an hour if the station LED will change. If it is the same, try to reset the station:

Thank you for your response, larry withrow.

Upon checking here, it seems that the Station is not yet paired to the Home Network Security app. Please proceed with pairing, then follow these steps below:

  1. Open the app and go to Settings.
  2. Choose About, then tap and hold the Home Network Security icon. This will open the Diagnostic Tool page.
  3. Tap the Info tab and check the status.

Kindly check as well the Mode selected, make sure it is on Mode 1. Also, check if your station is connected to the internet to have the firmware updated.

Hi, anna.graham1980!

Are you experiencing the same problem? Is your Home Network device flashing fast red light? Here are the initial troubleshooting steps that you can follow.

Try to connect the Home Network Security to a different Lan port on your router. Then, do a power cycle.

  • Power cycle: Turn off the router and unplug it from the outlet. Wait for at least 30 seconds before plugging it back in, then turn it on.

Monitor for at least an hour if the station LED will change. If it is the same, try to reset the station:

We would also need the router's brand and model. Let us know how it goes.
